   Celebration of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 66th Birthday Held on July 26, 2018 at Ban Don Yang Camp, Kanchanaburi Province

    

  

   On July 24, 2018, COERR Kanchanaburi organized World Environment Day to celebrate His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 66th Birthday at Ban Tham Hin camp, Ratchaburi Province. There were 2,000 participants planting 1,200 saplings.

Tree Planting at Ban Don Yang Camp on July 26, 2018

   On July 26, 2018, COERR Mae Hong Son organized 10,000 vetiver planting to celebrate His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 66th Birthday at Ban Mai Nai Soi Camp. Some vetiver were planted during the ceremony and the rest were given to refugees to plant in the soil erosion area in order to hold the ground to prevent further erosion.

  

  

COERR Mae Sarieng Organized Reforestation Activity in Ban Mae La Oon Camp

   On July 7, 2018, COERR Mae Sariang organized tree planting activity in order to raise awareness of community in forestry conservation and environment conservation and mitigation of global warming.

   Tree planting was organized in Ban Mae La Oon refugee camp on July 7, 2018. There were 278 refugee youths comprising 140 female and 138 male joining this activity. COERR and the refugee leaders explained to the refugees about the benefit of forest and how to plant. Then they started to grow 1,000 saplings, which were provided by COERR plant nursery. Although it was raining and the soil was muddy, the refugee youth who had realized the benefit of forest helped each other in working until all 1,000 saplings which consisted of 500 Teak, 200 Siamese rosewood, 200 Yang Daeng and 100 Tamarind were planted.
